Oasis Plaza is a 10-month long project designed and built by

[Air] Residency Cohort 2 members in collaboration with Moonlighter Fab Lab, The Idea Center, and Miami Dade College. Funded by Jorge M. Perez Foundation creArte Grant.

The project is divided into two parts. Part #1 is the design process and project proposal. In this part members of the [Air] Residency Cohort 2 were split into (4) groups. Each group was given a physical site, a challenge, and were tasked with creating a solution for the problems facing their site.

After receiving their site and challenge. Each group had to research, ideate, design, iterate, and propose a final solution to their site. Each proposal would then be judged by a panel of judges. The panel of judges included the President of Miami Dade College and other MDC administrators. The winning site proposal would then be built into a full-scale project located in Miami Dade College Wolfson Campus in the heart of Downtown Miami.

Part #2 of the Oasis Plaza project is the fabrication process of the winning solution.
